Flashdeli Lan Messenger allows you to associate personal sounds with some users, so you will not miss important messages. The sound scheme can be modified in the Sound Scheme page of the program options dialog.
“Sound Scheme” - this option allows you to specify the sound to be played upon receiving a message from a specific user. Click "Add User..." and enter the desired user name (separate multiple names by commas; you can select user names from the list) Once this is done you should choose a sound file to associate it with that user. Press the “play” button to do it.
There are some reserved names in this list:
- _For broadcast - can be associated with a sound to be played when a broadcast message is received.
- _Sound by default - allows specifying a sound to be played by default.
“Personal Sound has higher priority” - Personal sounds will have a priority over the sounds assigned for broadcast incoming messages. Thus, if you receive broadcast message from user having his/her personal sound it will be played instead of broadcast sound.
“Sound on receiving” – Three options are available:
- Turn off - stay silent.
- Turn on - Play the sound when a message is received.
- Play sound only if Flashdeli window is not active - Play sound only if Flashdeli windows is not active.
You can setup the sound scheme directly from the main program window using user context menus.
You may use a set of your sounds to be played on network events. Just put your .WAV files into the .\Sound folder in the program directory.
To remove users or a group from the list, select the entry you want to delete and press the Delete key.
