Voice Alert is the program feature used to notify the user on receiving a new message by pronouncing a specified phrase. To transform the text
into speech Microsoft Speech API 4.0 features are used thus providing voice engines support of the world famous companies.
To configure this feature you must open the program option dialog and select the “Voice Alert” item in the list on the left.
The “Alert Text” field contains the text for the program to pronounce
when the message is received. The text can contain macroses which then will be replaced by real values. At present the program supports two macroses:
- %Sender% - the one to be replaced by a message sender’s name;
- %MessageText% - the one to be replaced by a real message text.
You can quickly insert the necessary macros using the “Insert macros” button.
For this feature to work additional libraries must be installed on your computer. When you try to enable the voice alert and get the message that the necessary libraries are absent you will have to download and install them manually by yourself.
